Our national government was founded on the principles of Limited Government, our Constitution is a four page document granting power to the government by the people, for the people and of the People! It is my belief that all laws must be justified and supported by reference to their constitutionality and citing specifically where they justify the Law being presented.
* Economic Recovery/Jobs/Fiscal Management
The first step to freeing up the American Dream for all Citizens is to firmly establish the support and defend of our Free Market system. We must support the creation of new business by lowering the hurdles new business face. We must temporarily freeze Payroll Taxes to allow for the Recovery to begin in earnest. We must immediately roll back Capital Gains taxes to ZERO for one year, to stimulate investment and free up dollars into the Market. I support a Balanced Budget Amendment and the Line Item Veto for the protection of our citizen's money. I believe it is necessary to lower the tax and regulatory burden on all Americans and we should make permanent the Tax Cuts of President Bush that are set to expire. I believe Congress should be in the service to our nation not consumed with controlling it from the granite offices in Washington.
I believe that our Constitutional promise to Protect and Defend our Constitution and our Nation from Enemies both Foreign and Domestic is one that should not be entered into lightly. Therefore I will continue to support and protect our Nation by working to ensure our Men and Women in the Armed Forces continue to receive the best equipment for the task at hand. I believe we must secure both our borders and remain steadfast in our commitment to Freedom loving people all over the globe. I believe we do face a clear and present danger from those who seek us harm, both Foreign and Domestically!
I believe that our current crisis is NOT the result of too much freedom rather it is from too much government intervention. I support means by which we can free up businesses to expand, grow and hire new employees by reducing the Tax Burden and encourage new development. I believe that if given a fair shake The American Worker is the most efficient and productive worker in the World!
Our Founders understood what President Reagan did so well, that people are only free when Government is Limited. Our Constitution was not only a remarkable document and the first of its kind in human history, but that it remains such but only if we honor the principles set forth in this document. I pledge along with Representative Pence and others that we must find the specific Constitutional justification of all laws being considered. It is my firmly held belief that only through Constitutional Fidelity can we re-establish good, just and sound government!
I believe we need an all of the above Energy Policy. I strong support the continued use of Fossil Fuels including Crude, Gasoline and Natural Gas to keep our Economy the Strongest in the World. We should drill in ANWAR, off the Coast of our Florida, beyond a reasonable limit, and explore domestic fields that have been taken off our Energy Supply sources for political reasons alone. I strongly believe that we can tap the NG reserves and become one of the biggest producers increasing Jobs, our economy and perhaps most importantly, our energy independence. Additionally, we should explore all means to develop Alternative Energy that can be both cost effective and wise in the delivery of needed Energy. Finally, I support the continued research and development of Current Conversion Technologies as a source of future energy needs.
