Hello, I am Eddie Adams, Jr., a candidate for the 11^th  Congressional District of Florida seat in the U.S. Congress. Whether you are a lifelong Republican; a new member of our party; a Democrat, consider yourself an Independent or you are simply curious- what matters most is that, this is about you and you are always welcome here! 

Mission: America desperately needs leaders who will consistently fight to cut taxes, reduce federal spending and balance the budget.  These principles have stood for generations as the positions that real conservatives hold. The 11th Congressional District of Florida - a battleground district, needs someone in this ‘08 Election who knows what these words mean and will stand for nothing less.   The information shared on this web site will help you learn more about the 11^th Congressional District of Florida and to make it easier for you to support my candidacy. Experience: Our great nation was founded by the architects of change. Since Thomas Jefferson, America’s 3^rd president, there has not been a Republican architect in the Congress. With over 15 years in the field of architecture I am well poised to fill this void. I worked in healthcare in one capacity or another, for over 25 years.  Therefore, I understand that quality healthcare remains a dream for too many working Americans. I am also a product of our public school system, and I know that improvements in public education will enhance the quality of life for more people than any other thing we can ever do. As your congressman I will work to address the ills plaguing our education and healthcare systems. I believe that with the billions of dollars to be spent rebuilding cities along the Gulf Coast, the U.S. Congress needs an architect with urban planning skills.

Core Values: I am the grandson of a Baptist preacher with deep respect for my family heritage and history, religion and culture.  I believe in family values, quality education for everyone, an affordable health care system that works and progressive economic opportunity to strengthen all of our communities.

Position: I believe that the bedrock principles of good government are imperative to improving the quality of life in our communities. Paramount to ensuring the highest quality of life in our communities is economic opportunity.  As a fiscal conservative I believe in lower taxes and limited government, making more money available for our local community, creatively leveraging of our resources, and finding sustainable alternative sources of energy.  I’m passionate about this (serving you). With your help we can continue to build on these and many other issues as we move toward a brighter future for the 11th Congressional District of Florida.  Keep your eyes on this site as we discuss these issues!

I am Pro-Life, I want to re-enforce the second Amendment, humanely seal the borders and strengthen the controls on illegal immigration.  I encourage you to, contact me or any member of our campaign team, if you have any specific questions or would like to learn more about our efforts.  My dear neighbors, principled conservative leadership is what we need and I am thrilled at the opportunity and the honor of serving you as your next Congressman.

Interests: My life’s aim to make a difference is being fulfilled in serving the community in various ways: As a Youth mentor: 100 Black Men of Tampa Bay, mentoring at the Elementary School level, being the mentor for a Cadet in the Florida Youth Challenge Academy, Camp Blanding; 14 other youth in a community mentoring program and mentoring at the High School and College level with Project Alpha and The Men of Tomorrow Program. As a Board Member: School board member King’s Kids Academy, board of directors 100 Black men of Tampa Bay, on the board of directors of central city YMCA, Executive Committee for the Hillsborough County NAACP, Chairman Veteran’s Affairs, Advisory board Everest University, Life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, Hillsborough County Republican Executive Committee, The Grand Krewe de Libertalia and seven years on The Nathan B. Stubblefield Foundation. Recent appointee to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Black Advisory Council and one of the founding Executive Committee Members of the Sons and Daughters of Harriet Tubman.

 Association Membership: Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club, the Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce, Tampa Toastmasters 1810, Tampa Metro YMCA Capital and Resource Development Committee. Hobbies include scuba diving, chess, sailing, travel, painting, photography, numismatics and golf.
